Maryland-Eastern Shore Defeats Howard 73-63
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) -- Hillary Haley scored 15 of his 26 points in the second half and Maryland-Eastern Shore rallied to beat Howard 73-63 on Saturday.
The Hawks (7-21, 4-11 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) trailed 40-32 at halftime and by as much as 10 in the second half, 42-32.
They then outscored the Bison 20-7 to take their first lead of the game, 52-49, on Mark Robertson's 3-pointer with 12:06 to play.
Howard, which wouldn't lead again, committed six turnovers during the spurt.
The Hawks had lost four straight coming in.
The Bison turned it over 26 times, leading to 26 Maryland-Eastern Shore points.
Howard was 15-of-31 shooting in the first half and was held to 7 of 22 in the second as Maryland-Eastern Shore avenged a 77-73 loss on Jan. 29.
Anton Dickerson scored 15 points and Mike Phillips had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Bison (6-22, 4-11).
