BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Manny Machado's 470-foot homer to center off C.C. Sabathia on Friday is the longest in MLB this season.
Machado, who began the day batting just .205 with three home runs, also hit a two-run double and singled against CC Sabathia.
Major League Baseball's longest verifiable home run distance is about 575 feet (175 m), by Babe Ruth, to straightaway center field at Tiger Stadium.
