Manhunt Suspect Charged In Fatal Glen Burnie Shooting
GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ) -- A 53-year-old man was charged in a fatal shooting in Glen Burnie that lead to a 9-hour long manhunt and standoff with police Monday.
James Allan Verombeck was charged with killing his neighbor 22-year-old Tyrique Hudson earlier Monday morning.

Both men lives in an apartment complex in the 100 block of Virginia Lane.
According to police, officers got a call for shots fired around 7:10 a.m.
When they arrived they found Hudson dead. He had gunshot wounds to his body and was lying in the apartment building, but in an area with public access.
Witnesses told officers they saw the suspect allegedly standing over the victim's body and the two men have had an on-going issue.
They didn't know what the issue was about, but told police they believe the man barricaded himself inside the building.
Around 5 p.m., officers with Anne Arundel Police's Quick Response Team were able to take Verombeck into custody.
"Yesterday, it looked like a war zone," said resident Donna Hall.
The standoff in Glen Burnie came to a head at the Colonial Square Apartments.
"When I saw the armored car in the top of it go up and the guy come out with a rifle, I never seen anything like that," said neighbor Helen Larkins.
By 5 p.m., nearly 10 hours after police arrived, police had 53-year-old Verombeck in custody.
"You were just very leery, because you think you know someone or you know your neighbors and then they go berserk," Hall said.
Other witnesses said Hudson had been threatened by Verombeck in the past.
'They did advise that, yes, there was some going back-and-forth historically between the suspect and the victim. They don't know what happened yesterday morning," said Sgt. Jackie Davis.
Court records said the victim filed for a protective order against the suspect two months ago, but it was denied by a judge.
"I think it's absolutely ridiculous that it was denied. Because, the poor boy was 22-years-old and he lost his life," Hall said.
"I think if they would've given him the protective order that boy would still be alive," Larkins said.
Meanwhile, the apartment building is now padlocked, with one tenant dead, another in jail and others displaced.
"It's just a shame, it really is," Hall said.
Verombeck was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, firearm use in a felony, reckless endangerment, first- and second-degree assault. He is being held without bond.
