MANCHESTER, Md. (AP) -- Fire officials say a home in Manchester has been destroyed by fire.
The blaze was reported about 8:15 a.m. Wednesday on Park Avenue by a passer-by. Nine fire companies battled the blaze.
The owner of the house, Shelley DeVaux, tells the Carroll County Times that she smelled smoke and scrambled to get her three children, pets and her boyfriend out of the home. There were no injuries.
