Man Who Stabbed Wife, 2 Kids Sentenced To 45 Years
WASHINGTON (AP) -- A Washington man who pleaded guilty to fatally stabbing his wife and her two young sons has been sentenced to 45 years in prison.
Joseph Mays, 46, was sentenced Friday. He pleaded guilty in June to three counts of second degree murder while armed.
During last year's plea hearing Mays admitted he stabbed his wife, 38-year-old Erica Peters, and her two sons, 10-year-old, Dakota Peters, and 11-year-old, Eric Harper on March 21, 2009.
Police found Mays, his 3-year-old daughter, and the three stabbing victims in an apartment.
