Man Who Robbed Convenience Store Sentenced
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A man who robbed a convenience store in Annapolis where he frequently bought lottery tickets has been sentenced to 13 years in prison.
Tjuantel Jackson, 39, of Annapolis pleaded guilty to robbery, assault and other offenses on Tuesday.
His public defender said Jackson had been sober for 17 months but went on a drug-and-alcohol binge after his mother became ill. He robbed the 7-Eleven in January.
According to The Capital of Annapolis, the clerk Jackson robbed, who said she considered him a friend, said she hasn't been back to work since the robbery.
