Man Who Robbed Beltsville Bank Sentenced
GREENBELT, Md. (AP) -- Prosecutors say a man who robbed a bank in Beltsville has been sentenced to 14 years in prison.
Daniel R. McRae, 55, of Beltsville was also ordered to pay $8,150 in restitution at sentencing Monday.
According to his guilty plea, McRae passed a note to a teller at a Chevy Chase Bank branch in Laurel on Dec. 14, 2009. A teller gave him money and he ran away.
Prosecutors say McRae's estranged wife worked for the bank, overseeing 24 branches. She identified him when shown surveillance photos of the robber.
