Man Who Escaped Court Is Apprehended
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Authorities in Anne Arundel County say a man who escaped from District Court in Annapolis is back in custody.
Lt. Francis Tewey, a spokesman for Anne Arundel County Police, says Bonrick Lee Barksdale, 25, was re-captured shortly before midnight Thursday.
Annapolis Police say he was caught after a resident saw him and called 911.
Tewey says Barksdale escaped from custody around 12:10 p.m. Thursday. He was initially arrested last week in Glen Burnie on a warrant from North Carolina, alleging several charges, including kidnapping and attempted first-degree rape.
