Man Wanted In Hagerstown Birthday Party Slaying Arrested
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Police say a Hagerstown man wanted for a birthday party slaying in June is being held by Baltimore authorities on drug and firearm charges.
The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports Tuesday that Baltimore city police arrested Marcus Longus, 18, Friday after pulling over a vehicle for an equipment malfunction.
Longus is being held without bond and faces a preliminary hearing next month.
Hagerstown police obtained a warrant in June charging Longus with first-degree murder and other offenses in the June 24 slaying of Antonio Michael Joyner of Walkersville. Joyner, 25, was shot a birthday party in Hagerstown.
Hagerstown police say they don't know when Longus will be returned to Washington County.
