Man Wanted For Allegedly Stabbing 14-Year-Old Boy Outside Halethorpe Wings Restaurant
HALETHORPE, Md. (WJZ) — A 30-year-old man is wanted in Baltimore County for allegedly stabbing a 14-year-old boy outside of a wing restaurant in Halethorpe in January.
Robert William Taylor, Jr. is wanted for first-degree assault.
The incident happened back on January 24. Police said the teen was seen on surveillance video riding his bike outside of America's Best Wings in the 3500 block of Washington Boulevard just before 10 p.m.
He then walked into the restaurant and the suspect followed him out, according to police.
Police said the suspect allegedly struck the boy with an unknown weapon causing a "potentially life-threatening stab wound," and then fled.
"They went around the side of the building where there were no cameras, and at some point, the dispute became physical. The boy was stabbed," Jennifer Peach, of the Baltimore County Police Department, said.
According to police, the suspect fled the scene and the teen went inside of the restaurant to get help.
The boy was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Now, police are asking for the public's help to track down the suspect.
"We don't want anybody to approach him because he's already proven to be violent," Peach said. "We just want people to call the police department."
