Man Stabs 2 In Mall Parking Lot Dispute
BETHESDA, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County police say a 24-year-old Potomac man stabbed two people in a dispute in a mall parking lot.
Police say it started Thursday afternoon after one vehicle nearly hit another at a stop sign at Westfield Montgomery Mall and both drivers got out of their vehicles in the parking lot.
That's when police say David Goldberg stabbed the other driver, a 31-year-old man, and his passenger, a 28-year-old woman, then fled. Both were taken to a hospital and police say the woman had serious injuries and the man had injuries that aren't thought to be life threatening.
Police found Goldberg on a nearby parking deck with his 2-year-old daughter in the vehicle. He is charged with two counts each of attempted first-degree murder and first- and second-degree assault.
