Man Sought In Food Delivery Shooting Surrenders
UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police say a Glenarden man sought for the robbery and shooting of a food delivery driver has surrendered.
Police said Sunday that Wayne Hunter Jr., 20, turned himself in. However, after his arrest, police say Hunter became combative and assaulted a detective. Police say Hunter is being held without bond.
An arrest warrant was issued Saturday for Hunter, who is charged with attempted murder and armed robbery. Police say he is now also facing several additional charges related to the assault on the detective.
Investigators say the victim was shot and robbed as he attempted to make a delivery to the 8400-block of Hamlin Street, where Hunter lives.
