Man Slain After Argument In Hillcrest Heights
HILLCREST HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) -- A 22-year-old man has been fatally shot in Hillcrest Heights in what police are calling a domestic-related slaying.
The shooting occurred early Sunday morning inside a home on St. Clair Drive. Prince George's County police say they found 22-year-old Jerome Peters suffering from gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Peters had been caring for his young child at the home. Early Sunday morning, police say the child's mother and a male friend arrived to pick up the child when the two men started arguing. The other man is believed to have pulled a gun and shot Peters.
Police are trying to identify and locate a suspect.
