Man Shot In Downtown Hagerstown
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say a man has been shot and a suspect is being sought in downtown Hagerstown.
Hagerstown Police Sgt. Jim Robison told The Herald-Mail the man was shot once in the stomach as he walked near Wellers Alley and Jonathan Street at about 3:15 p.m. Monday.
The victim was taken to the Meritus Medical Center.
Detective Jim Hurd says witnesses told investigators the assailant fled on foot. He says there reportedly was a dispute before the shooting.
