Man Sentenced To 8 Years For Easton Bank Robbery
BALTIMORE (AP) -- A Randallstown man who used a toy gun to rob a bank in Easton has been sentenced to more than eight years in prison.
Donald Gross, 44, was also sentenced to five years of supervised release on Monday.
Prosecutors say Gross and his girlfriend targeted the PNC Bank on Marlboro Avenue in Easton in April. According to his guilty plea, Gross gave a teller a note demanding money and lifted his shirt to reveal what looked like a gun stuck in his waistband.
Prosecutors say Gross had taken the toy gun from his girlfriend's infant son.
Gross stole $5,000. He and his girlfriend were arrested the next day.
The girlfriend, 32-year-old Sherice Gunther of Randallstown, was sentenced to 91 days in jail on Monday for aiding and abetting the robbery.
