Man Sentenced To 35 Years In Apartment Shooting
WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) -- A Columbia man convicted of attempted murder in the shooting of a man in Westminster has been sentenced to 35 years in prison.
The Carroll County Times reports that Montrell Schumpert, 21, was sentenced Thursday for shooting Tony Boyd Jr., in the abdomen during an argument in May 2011.
Schumpert was convicted in July.
