Man Sentenced To 12 Years In Bar Robbery
BALTIMORE (AP) -- A 31-year-old man has been sentenced to more than 12 years in prison for robbing a Baltimore bar.
Branch Sparrow of Baltimore was sentenced in federal court on Friday.
According to his plea agreement, Sparrow and another man went into a Fleet Street bar in August 2011. Prosecutors say Sparrow was armed with a pistol and threatened customers and employees.
Sparrow took about $800 from the cash register and fled. Police officers responding to the robbery saw Sparrow and his accomplice and arrested them.
