Man Sentenced For Part In Baltimore Bank Robbery
BALTIMORE (AP) -- A man who robbed a Baltimore bank has been sentenced to nine years in prison.
The U.S. Attorney's Office in Baltimore said Otis Nelson of Baltimore was sentenced Thursday. His co-defendant, Torre Johnson, was previously sentenced Feb. 6 to the same amount of time.
The two men pleaded guilty to robbing the PNC Bank inside a Giant Food grocery store in April 2011. The two collected $6,730 during the robbery. Johnson stood by the entrance to the bank as a lookout while Nelson robbed a teller at gunpoint. They were later spotted by a police officer and arrested.
