Man Sentenced For Hiding Cocaine In Flip-Flops
GREENBELT, Md. (AP) -- A man who was convicted of smuggling cocaine from a Caribbean island hidden in the soles of flip-flops has been sentenced to more than 15 years in prison.
Twenty-eight-year-old Lorenzo Solomon of Baltimore was sentenced in federal court in Greenbelt on Monday.
According to evidence presented at trial, Solomon and others in St. Vincent ship packages containing up to a kilogram of cocaine hidden in the soles of slip-flops.
