Man Pleads Guilty In Killing Of Frederick Burger King Manager
FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- A man has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the shooting of a fast food restaurant manager.
Jose Reyes Mejia-Varela entered the plea Tuesday in the death of Jacinta "Patty" Ayala, 32, of Frederick.
The News-Post of Frederick reports that the judge, defense and prosecutors agreed to a sentence of life with the possibility of parole. Sentencing is set for Feb. 26.
Ayala was killed during an apparent robbery on March 18, 2011 as she opened a Burger King restaurant.
