Man Pleads Guilty After Marijuana Is Found In Home
ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) -- An Ellicott City man whose marijuana growing operation was found in his house after a car crashed into it has pleaded guilty to manufacturing a controlled dangerous substance.
Richard Marriott, 44, entered the plea Wednesday in Howard County Circuit Court. He will be sentenced July 8.
On Dec. 10, Bryan Bolster lost control of the BMW he was driving and crashed into Marriott's home. Bolster died at the scene.
Marriott was sitting in his house when it happened. Emergency workers found marijuana plants in the home.
Defense attorney Leonard Shapiro said he will present information at sentencing that will put the incident in a different
light.
