Man Killed When Truck Overturns In Md.
LAUREL, Md. (AP) -- Howard County police say a man was killed when the truck he was driving left the road and overturned.
It happened about 7 p.m. Monday on Rt. 29 at Old Columbia Road in Laurel. Police say Michael Joseph Fitzpatrick, 62, of Silver Spring was traveling south when his truck went off the right side of the road and overturned.
Fitzpatrick was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt and speed was a factor in the crash.
