Man Killed In Mowing Accident Near Hagerstown
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A man has died in a mowing accident after a tractor rolled over on top of him near Hagerstown.
Maryland State Police say Terry Verdier, 42, was killed Saturday evening. Police were called to a home near Smithfield shortly after 8 p.m.
Police say it appears Verdier was mowing his lawn on a hillside when the mower rolled over on top of him. Verdier was pinned underneath the mower for an unknown length of time. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
