Man Indicted In Md. Church Worker's Slaying
SNOW HILL, Md. (AP) -- A Delaware man has been indicted in the slaying of a Maryland church worker.
The Daily Times of Salisbury reports Matthew Burton, 28, of Dagsboro, Del., was indicted Tuesday on charges of rape, kidnapping and first-degree murder in the death of Nicole Bennett, 35.
Bennett's body was found on an embankment in Worcester County in June.
Bennett's husband reported her missing to Delaware State Police on June 15 after she didn't return home from her job at a Gumboro church, where Burton worked as a custodian.
