Man Recovering After Being Robbed, Carjacked And Beaten With Brick In Canton
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A brutal robbery on the street in Canton sends a man to the hospital. He is now in need of dental work and is in pain. Baltimore City Police are now looking for the suspect.

The victim tried to give the man his wallet to get him to go away, but the suspect had other violent plans.
A request for a cigarette turned violent in Canton after Baltimore City Police say a man received several gashes to his face and head after the smoker robbed him and stole his car.
"You usually don't think of it happening in a neighborhood like this," one resident said.
It happened just after midnight as the 30-year-old victim was walking to his home. He was about a half a block west of Foster Avenue when he was approached by the suspect.
What happened next stunned the victim. He offered the suspect his wallet. Instead, the man threw him to the ground, picked up a brick and started beating him so severely that he knocked out his front teeth.
His blood still stains the corner where he was attacked.
"Our investigators have determined that our victim did not put up any type of struggle. He was trying to cooperate as much as he can with this suspect," police said.
Neighbors tell WJZ the man used a solid brick from a tree ring to viciously attack the victim.
"That's bad. I mean, you wouldn't expect that much violence. He could have just got carjacked and took the car, but to get beat like that is bad," a resident said.
The suspect, who was seen riding an orange bike, took the victim's car keys and laptop before driving off in his silver 2009 Toyota Prius. Police are still looking for the stolen car. The tag number is 5EST20.
The victim was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment.
