Man Gets Life In Prison For Killing His Father
WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) -- A Mount Airy man has been sentenced to life in prison for fatally stabbing his father after an argument.
Thirty-two-year-old Joseph Wesley Pine was sentenced Friday in Carroll County Circuit Court. The Carroll County Times reports that he had pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the slaying of his father, 63-year-old Michael Pine.
Police said the Pines were fighting at the elder Pine's home on Sept. 2, 2013. Police say the elder Pine was stabbed at least 22 times.
