Man Gets 55 Years In Fatal Robbery
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A Curtis Bay man has been sentenced to 55 years in prison for his role in a fatal robbery that netted the suspects $17.
Ricky Mason, 23, had pleaded guilty in December to first-degree murder in the robbery and shooting that killed Adam Bucklew, 21, in July 2010. Mason must serve 50 percent of the sentence before he is eligible for parole.
The Capital of Annapolis reports that Mason and Rodney Barnwell, 23, accosted Bucklew in front of his home, shot him and took cash from his pockets before fleeing.
Barnwell also pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and will be sentenced May 30.
