Man Gets 11 Years In Prison In Kidnapping
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A western Maryland man has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for kidnapping his ex-girlfriend last year.
Jeremy Shane Keadle, of Williamsport, was sentenced Monday in Washington County Circuit Court.
Prosecutors say Keadle kidnapped the woman last April outside a nightclub where she worked and forced her into a car and drove off. A deputy used a stun gun to subdue Keadle after he refused to get out of the van.
The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports that Keadle told the judge that he "made some real poor decisions."
Keadle in December entered an Alford plea in the case, meaning he didn't admit guilt but acknowledged that prosecutors likely had enough evidence for a conviction.
