Man Found Competent For Trial In Wife's Slaying
ELKTON, Md. (AP) -- A judge has ruled that a man charged with fatally stabbing his wife is competent to stand trial.
Cecil County Circuit Court Administrative Judge V. Michael Whelan also ruled Monday that James Claude Winters, 41, can be held criminally responsible if found guilty.
The Cecil Whig reports that Winters is charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death Easter Sunday of his wife, 39-year-old Marchal Elizabeth Adams.
