Man Convicted Of Shooting At People Who Refused To Join Gang
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Harry Davis was convicted Thursday of second-degree murder, first-degree assault and weapons violations for shooting at a group of men who refused to join his gang.
Police say an innocent bystander was killed.
On Sept. 2, 2010, Davis approached four young men sitting on the porch of a home in the 500-block of East Lynn Avenue and asked if they wanted to join his gang. When they declined, police say Davis laughed at them and said, "I'm gonna rob y'all."
Several hours later, police say he returned, pulled out a shotgun, and started shooting at them. He struck two of the young men. Stray bullets also hit a woman who happened to be exiting a neighboring home with her husband at time. She suffered eight gunshot wounds and died from her injuries. The two male victims survived.
He will be sentenced on July 2. He faces a maximum of 108 years in prison.
