Man Convicted Of Fatally Stabbing Acquaintance
WASHINGTON (AP) -- A homeless man has been convicted of fatally stabbing an acquaintance during an argument at a gas station they frequented.
A Superior Court on Wednesday convicted Richard Williams, 43, of second-degree murder while armed in the death of Sean West, 37.
Prosecutors say on Aug. 27, 2010, the two got into a shoving match in a gas station in Oxon Hill, Md. just over the D.C. line. Authorities say West walked into Washington after a third person broke up the fight.
Prosecutors say Williams ran after West and stabbed him in the chest. West ran back into Oxon Hill, collapsed and died hours later.
Williams faces up to 70 years in prison at sentencing Jan. 31.
