Man Charged With Stabbing Another In The Neck
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Hagerstown police have charged a man with attempted murder after they say he stabbed another man in the neck, causing a wound that required 50 stitches to close.
Forty-year-old Dwayne Joseph Artis surrendered to police and was also charged with assault, reckless endangerment and carrying a dangerous and deadly weapon with intent to injure. He is being held
without bond.
The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports that police were called to Artis' apartment about 4:10 p.m. Thursday for the report of an assault and found the victim.
