Man Charged With Manslaughter In Overdose Death
HURLOCK, Md. (AP) -- Hurlock police have charged a man with manslaughter in the fatal drug overdose of a teenager.
Twenty-five-year-old Brandon Paul Scheller of Hurlock was arrested Thursday in May 18 death of 17-year-old old Robert Luke Dennis. He is also charged with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance and other offenses.
WBOC-TV reports that Dennis' body was found on the front steps of a home. The Office of the State Medical Examiner said he died from an overdose of Fentanyl, a prescription narcotic.
Police say bought the drug from Scheller.
