Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Swinging Cooking Knife In Fight Over Food
GAMBRILLS, Md. (WJZ)— A fight between two employees at a steakhouse in Anne Arundel County left one injured and the other behind bars.
It happened Wednesday at around 3:40 p.m. at Fuji Steakhouse, located in the 1400-block of South Main Chapel Way in Gambrills.
Police say it all started over an argument over food between Li Chen, 26, and a 30-year-old male employee.
Further investigation indicates the 30-year-old struck Chen with a frying pan. Chen then swung a cooking knife and cut the victim in the head.
The victim sustained cuts to his leg and arm. He was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
Chen was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
The investigation is ongoing with potential charges pending against the victim as well.
