Man Charged In Fatal Beating Of D.C. Firefighter
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metropolitan Police have charged a man with second-degree murder in the beating death of an off-duty D.C. firefighter two years ago.
Thirty-nine-year-old Melvin Lamond Linkins of Washington was arrested Thursday morning in the death of 37-year-old Marc Emilio Dancy of Clinton, Md.
Police say on Jan. 23, 2011, Dancy's body was found in northeast. An autopsy showed the cause of death was blunt force trauma, but the manner of death was ruled undetermined.
On Wednesday, Dancy's death was ruled a homicide.
