Man Charged In $300,000 Jewelry Store Robbery
QUEENSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say a Suitland man has been charged with a robbery at a Queenstown jewelry store in which more than $300,000 worth of jewelry was stolen.
Authorities say Roy L. Tolbert, 42, surrendered to the state police Forestville Barracks on Friday. He is charged with armed robbery and other offenses.
Troopers say on May 19, a gunman entered the Ultra Diamonds jewelry store and stole dozens of pieces of jewelry. No one was injured during the robbery.
An investigation by state police and the FBI led to Tolbert being identified as a suspect.
