Man Charged Following Ellicott City Stabbing
ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) -- Howard County police say a 23-year-old man accused of an Ellicott City stabbing is facing attempted murder and assault charges.
Police say Brian Black Jr., 29, was stabbed multiple times early Saturday in a parking lot. Police say Christopher Thomas Hecker, 23, of Columbia was arrested a short time later and the knife believed to be used in the attack was also recovered.
Police say witnesses at the scene directed investigators to the home of a woman seen with Hecker, who was found sitting in the driveway of the Ellicott City home.
Police say witnesses said Hecker was with two friends, one of whom may have offered Black a ride. When Black tried to get into the vehicle, Hecker told him to get out and the two began to fight.
