Man Carrying Gun Locked Out Of Md. Bank
NORTH EAST, Md. (AP) -- The Cecil County Sheriff's Office says alert employees at a bank locked out a masked man carrying a gun who tried to get into the business.
It happened about 9:50 a.m. Tuesday at the Cecil bank near North East. Deputies say a man carrying what appeared to be a shotgun and wearing a mask was walking toward the bank.
The Cecil Whig reports that employees saw the man, quickly locked all the bank's doors and hit the alarm. They then took cover.
Authorities say the gunman shouted for employees to open the door, then ran into nearby woods.
