Man Arrested On Prostitution Charges At Howard County Motel
ELKRIDGE, Md. (WJZ) -- A man is behind bars after running a prostitution ring out of an Elkridge motel.
Police arrested Phillip Simmons at the Terrace Motel in the 6200-block of Washington Boulevard.
They say the 37-year-old was forcing women to perform sex acts in several states, posting ads on the website Backpage.com to solicit customers.
Simmons faces three counts of human trafficking and operating a prostitution business.
He is being held on $25,000 bond.
