Man Arrested In Montgomery County Home Invasions
ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- A Maryland man suspected in two home invasions and a sexual assault this week in Montgomery County has been arrested in North Carolina.
Montgomery County police say 33-year-old Kevin Ray of Fort Washington was arrested Saturday in Kitty Hawk, N.C. Detectives say they obtained a photograph of Ray when he used a credit card stolen from one of the victims.
Police say the suspect robbed a woman Tuesday in her garage in Wheaton. He approached with a handgun and demanded money, a wallet and car keys before fleeing in the victim's vehicle.
On Wednesday, police were called to a Bethesda home where two residents were tied up by an intruder and a housekeeper was sexually assaulted.
An arrest warrant for Ray includes charges of robbery and first-degree sex assault.
