Man Arrested In Baseball Bat Attack On Elderly Man
MOUNT RAINIER, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police have arrested a man suspected of beating a 72-year-old man with a baseball bat.
Justin Strong, 22, of Mount Rainier was taken into custody Friday night.
Police say Strong approached the man on Sept. 15 while brandishing a knife and demanded the elderly man's wallet. The man refused, and police say Strong walked away but returned with an aluminum baseball bat.
The victim was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Strong is charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault and armed robbery, among other offenses. He was arrested after police handed out fliers with a sketch of the suspect.
