Man Arrested At Arundel Mills Mall After Pursuit From Baltimore
HANOVER, Md. (AP) -- Police say an Anne Arundel County man led officers on a chase at speeds up to 100 mph from Baltimore to Arundel Mills Mall.
The chase began in Baltimore on Monday, where police say Darin Sympton Jr., 22, of Brooklyn Park was seen participating in a drug deal. An officer chased him onto the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, where police say Sympton tried to ram the cruiser, running it onto the median.
Sympton took the Arundel Mills Mall exit, striking several cars, then bailed out and ran into the mall. After a foot chase, Sympton was arrested in a clothing store.
Sympton is facing drug charges, fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest, assault and traffic charges. Police believed Sympton may have had a gun, but did not find one on him.
