Man Arrested After Police Chase
FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Frederick police have arrested a man they say fled after officers tried to pull him over.
Douglas Smith, 31, has been charged with vehicle theft, fleeing and eluding and other offenses.
Police say late Wednesday, officers saw a vehicle leaving Frederick Memorial Hospital that didn't have working tail lights.
Officers tried to get the driver to pull over, but he did not stop.
Police say after a short pursuit, the car hit a traffic signal support pole and a barricade. There were no injuries.
