Man Arrested After Fleeing On Foot In Hagerstown
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A man about to be arrested on a drunk driving charge in Hagerstown tried to escape on foot and ran to the home of his girlfriend's sister, but a police officer used a Taser to subdue him.
Christopher Anthony Reid was pulled over in a 1997 Buick around 8 p.m. Tuesday. A police officer asked for his name and that he take a sobriety test, but Reid ran from the officer and tried to get in to the nearby apartment of his girlfriend's sister. He was taken into custody by an officer using a Taser.
The 36-year-old was charged with driving under the influence, resisting arrest and other charges.
