Man Admits To Hanging Raccoon On Family's Porch
BALTIMORE (AP) -- An Essex man has pleaded guilty to hanging a dead raccoon from a noose on the porch of a black family in Middle River.
Joshua Wall, 20, pleaded guilty Monday to conspiracy to deprive a person of civil rights. He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine at sentencing Aug. 17.
According to a statement of facts, an acquaintance of Wall's had an argument with the son of a black family in April 2010. Wall and four conspirators hatched a plan to scare the family, and two drove around to find a dead raccoon.
According to court documents, Wall and two conspirators made a noose and hung the raccoon on the family's porch in the middle of the night.
