Man Accused Of Slashing Another With Machete

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Hagerstown police say a man accused of slashing another man with a machete has surrendered to police. 

Shadrach Andrews, 20, of Hagerstown is charged with assault and reckless endangerment. He surrendered Wednesday at police headquarters. 

Police say Andrews and another man were in an altercation Tuesday and later that day, Andrews slashed the man in the face. 

Officers say the victim has a 6-inch gash. He was treated at a local hospital.
