Man, 71, Found Slain In Cecil Co. Home
EARLVILLE, Md. (AP) -- State police are investigating the slaying of a 71-year-old Cecil County man.
Police say a friend found John Flemming dead inside his Earleville home Monday morning.
The cause of death has not been determined, but police are treating it as a homicide. Flemming's body was taken to the state medical examiner's office for an autopsy.
Police say a friend of Flemming's reported that he found Flemming's truck on the side of the road less than a mile from the victim's home. The lights were on, the keys were in the ignition and a window was broken.
The friend removed the keys and went to Flemming's house, where he found the victim lying on the floor. Police haven't determined a motive for the slaying.
