Man, 11-Year-Old Arrested In Copper Theft

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Annapolis police say an 11-year-old who got through a gap in a fence helped a man steal copper pipes from a construction site.

A neighbor of the Annapolis Elementary School called police Friday. Officers say they found the man and the boy bending pipes and sticking them under the fence.

The school is undergoing a $20 million renovation.

Andres Rubio Garcia, 29, of Hyattsville was charged with burglary and theft. The 11-year-old was released to his parents.
