Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown To Kick Off Campaign Tour
LARGO, Md. (WJZ)— Lt. Governor Anthony Brown will host a free campaign kickoff cookout this Friday to formally announce his plans for 2014. He is expected to announce his run for governor.
The campaign cookout will start Friday at 4:30pm at Prince George's Community College.
On May 11, Brown will continue his announcement tour across Maryland with stops in Frederick, Montgomery County and Baltimore.
"I'm excited to formally launch my campaign to make Maryland better for all Marylanders and that's why I'm inviting families from across our state to join me at Prince George's Community College to kick it off," Brown said in a press release. "Maryland is a great state because of the hard work that we've done to invest in new jobs, education and health care, but we still have a lot of work to do to ensure that no family is left behind."
Brown has served as Maryland's lieutenant governor for seven years.
