Loyola University Recognized For Having Biggest Trees In Maryland
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Loyola University has the biggest trees in the state.
The Maryland Big Tree program found the University has nine Champion Trees in its arboretum.
Champion Trees are among the largest of their species. The program's goal is to find these trees across the state and preserve them for future generations.
Loyola has more than 100 species of trees in its arboretum.
